24 Years!

I have always maintained that the time does not melts…it just evaporates. You just cannot believe that the moments u cherished so much are now a part of past. You try to hold those precious moments but they just fade away..The tightier you hold the sand, the easier it will slip away. And with these thoughts, I exhausted one more year of my life or more appropriately I “lived” one more year of my life. It’s been 24 long years! Still the memories of the past are afresh.

Still remember the days when I used to cry to go to school as my big brother was already in school and I was dying to wear the uniform!

My cricketing days, when cricket was my religion and I used to spend 6 hours at stadium in scorching heat sweating it out with the cricket gear to make it big. And the day, when I left the game altogether to put my head into studies. That was a difficult decision. But in retrospect, probably a right one and a turning point in my life.

The day when my brother and sister fought with my mom to pack me outside Gwalior for my engineering although I was getting admission in Gwalior also. That move was aimed to make me more independent. I came to Indore for the next four years and the move paid off. I can call that second turning point.

The day when I could not make it to TCS. It was one of the only two companies that came to our college for campus and the time was worst ever for freshers. I cried and was shattered.

4th Aug’03. The day when I cleared my first ever job interview and came to Mumbai for a new beginning.

These are just few of the most defining moments of my life. A life full of twists and turns or we can say its been a true roller-coaster ride. It never came to me on a platter but I faced and enjoyed every moment of it. I am sure there are many more years to come, and many twists to unveil but afterall..Life is like that!

In the last one year…

1. 5 of my friends got married.
2. I completed one year of official life.
3. I had the 2nd get together at Hyderabad with my college gang.
4. Started my blog and made many new friends.
5. had a couple of memorable bike trips with Anurag

and more importantly, realized what is financial independence.

So, with this sober post, 3 cheers…and
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
…TO ME!!!
